Enamelled watch made for the Chinese export market, by Dimier, Geneva, Switzerland, 1830–1850. Gilt-metal case, finely enamelled with a profusion of summer flowers on a blue background, with a matching enamelled winding key. Bezel, back and pendant set with split pearls. White enamel dial with steel hands and central sweep seconds. Red enamelled skeleton movement with club-toothed lever escapement. Signed on the movement ‘Dimier, Geneve’. Clockmakers' Museum No. 721
