Movement with pivoted detent escapement and balance similar in type to Arnold's OZ. Signed 'Chas. Haley London Invt. et Fecit. CA/1513'. Charles Haley was made a Freeman of the Clockmakers' Company in 1781 and died in 1825. His work centered on chronometer making and in 1796 he patented an escapement with a remontoire, known as a constant force escapement.
