Small gold and enamel watch by Herbeau, Paris 1775-1800. The back of the case features blue guilloche enamel, with a painted scene in the centre depicting a dog besides an urn overflowing with fruit, and surrounded by a stippled border set with red dots. The bezel of the case is set with pearls and coiled gold wire. The white enamel dial is signed Herbeau A PARIS and has dial winding. Fusee movement with verge escapement and signed 'Herbeau A Paris no. 331'. Clockmakers' Museum No. 729
