Incomplete movement, dial and brass inner case from a marine timekeeper by Alexander Cumming. London c. 1770. Movement with large pierced and engraved balance bridge with diamond endstone. Balance missing. Backplate signed 'Grant, Fleet Street, London, 2639'. Dial originally marked with Cumming's name, and subsequently removed. Clockmakers' Museum No. 1284
