M8 mass spectrometer. Developed by Professor John Beynon (ICI Chemicals) and Metro-vick at Trafford Park in 1958. Has a cylindrical protubernace at front. Lacks the two platesfrom the electrostatic analyser, but includes the vacuum pumps.
