Wax portrait of Benjamin Lewis Vulliamy (1780-1854) by Richard Cockle Lucas 1851

This portrait shows the watchmaker, Benjamin Lewis Vulliamy, aged 71. Vulliamy, five-times Master of the Clockmakers' Company and Royal Clockmaker to King George IV, King William IV and Queen Victoria, was the driving force behind the formation of the Clockmakers Library and Collection from 1814 onwards.
