Archive material relating to George Fox & Sons Ltd of Dewsbury, Yorkshire, cotton spinners. The collection includes a number of photographic prints of textile machinery taken by James Mudd & Sons, which add to our understanding of Mudd’s work as an industrial photographer, an early leaflet for Walter T Glover & Co for textile braiding machinery, which demonstrates their manufacturing activity prior to becoming makers of electrical cable, and specifications for the electrification of the George Fox & Sons textile mill between 1880 and 1922, illustrating the electrification of industrial buildings from the late 19th century onwards.
