Photograph entitled 'Granny of 75 lectured the businessmen'. Original caption reads: 'Three hundred of Britain's leading business executives listened to a lecture from this 75-year-old American grandmother, Doctor Lillian Gilbreth, the originator of 'motion study'. The mother of eleven married children and America's 'Woman of the Year' in 1948, she addressed the executives on 'motion study for the future' during the conference and exhibition held at the Connaught Rooms, London. The conference discussed ways of increasing management efficiency by new methods and apparatus, and saw exhibition and demonstration of method improvements in British industry.'
