Photograph showing Ruth Wilson kissing Homer the timber wolf
- Made:
- 1965-11-28 in St Louis
Time Inc./LIFE magazine photograph. Caption on back reads: 'Dr. Grzimek is an expert on animal psychology--especially wolves. Animal behavious, he explains, is much more closely related to human behaviour than most people think. Wolves, for instance, exchange greetings by gently biting each other's muzzles. This giant timber wold, Homer, is one of six living in American housewife Ruth Wilson's back garden in a St Louis suburb. And he's so loving that he always welcomes her with a big kiss -- exactly like an affectionate human'.
