Photograph titled 'Wolf'. Caption on back reads: 'The two-year-old Canadian timber wolf chased for three days round the countryside after escaping from Whipsnade Zoo, Beds, may have left a son behind. The wolf escaped on February 12, while being moved from one paddock to another. It was shot at Ickleford, Hitchin, Herts. But six new cubs have been born in the compound in which the wolf lived, and Zoo officials think he may be a father. A Zoo official said: "It is possible the wolf that escaped was the father of some of the new-born cubs, but we do not know"'.
