Photograph shows a zookeeper bottle-feeding a baby pygmy hippo
- Made:
- 1951-04-04 in St Louis

Photograph titled 'Bottle-fed hippo.' Caption on back reads: If the keeper would let her, Skippy would drink enough milk - straight from the bottle - to feed a dozen babies. For she is a baby pygmy hippopotamus from Liberia, now a resident of the zoo in St. Louis, Missouri, U.S.A. Although an attractive and friendly infant, Skippy can look forward to being a leading heavyweight contender among animals. Her keepers say that eventually she will weigh 500 pounds or so.
