Fox Photos Ltd photograph titled 'Paper chase to the picture: Southgate cinema encourages salvage'. Caption on back reads: Saturday is morning cinema day for many children but for the young audiences of Southgate's main picture house (the Odeon) it is also waste paper day. The boys and girls are asked to bring a small bundle of waste paper to the cinema when they come each week and the Borough COuncil's slavage chief arranges for collection of the vital waste. Photo shows: "Everything except comics". Children carry bundles of waste paper as they wait outside the Odeon Cinema, Southgate N14.
