Fox Photos Ltd. photograph titled '"Space men" at school'. Caption on back reads: The L.C.C. has made arrangements for the Caryl Jenner Mobile Theatre to give performances at various schools in the South London area, throughout this week. One of the plays being presented during this tour, which is proving very popular among the young audiences is "Top Secret Test" by Wilfred Harvey, a contemporary "science fiction" play for the junior age group, which tells the story of tests for a new space ship, complete with "secret agents" working for an enemy power, in which good triumphs over evil after exciting adventures which although full of suspense contain no violence, killings, or "horrors" of any kind. Some 4,000 children between the ages of 7 and 11 will see the performance during the week's tour.
Photograph shows: Following a performance of "Top Secret Test" at the Dulwich Hamlet Junior Mixed School, Dulwich Village (S.E. London), two members of the cast Peter Barker (left) and Peter Digby Smith (right) as space travellers "Hubert" and "Boris", let 10-years-old Barry Parker send a message on their radio set.
