Three items related to the unveiling of the First World War memorial at Euston, 1921. A typewritten letter to Mrs Pritchard (widow of Harry Prichard), inviting her to attend the unveiling of the First World War memorial at Euston in 1921. The letter invites Mrs Pritchard and ‘another near relative’ to attend and offers free travel on the London & North Western Railway; an order of service for the ceremony, consisting of four double sided pages; a paper napkin (in delicate condition) printed with some manner of memorabilia, and retained from the luncheon.

Over 20, 000 railwaymen died in the First World War. Harry Pritchard was a Labourer at the Engineering department at Market Harborough and served as a Corporal for the Leicester Regiment 6th Battalion, he died 29 September 1916. His military number was 10510 and his name is recorded on the Thiepval Memorial.
