Coin, gold. Twenty shillings of the Commonwealth. Obv. THECOMMONWEALTH OF 'ENGLAND; mm. sun. Shield, bearing the cross of St. George, within a wreath of palm and laurel. Rev. GOD WITH · US 1653. Two conjoined shields; one bearing the cross of St. George, the other the Irish harp; above ·XX Wt. 137:7 grains (8.92 grams). Bequeathed by Miss M. E. WaldoSibthorp. V&A no. 1608–1902.
