Coin, gold. Five Guineas of George II. Obv. GEORGIVS 'II 'DEI GRATIA. Bust to left, laureate ; below, E'I'C' (East India Company). Rev. M'B'F'ET H*REX F'D'B'ET'L'D'S'R'I'A'T' ET'E 1729. Square shield garnished and crowned, with the royal arms quarterly, viz. : 1, England and Scotland impaled ; 2, France ; 3, Ireland ; and 4, the Electorate; on edge, DECVS'ET° TVTAMEN ANNO REGNI. TERTIO. Wt. 643.2 grains (41.68 grams). Bequeathed by Miss M. E. Waldo-Sibthorp. V&A no. 1619-1902.
