Coin, gold. Half Sovereign of George III. Obv. GEORGIVSIII DEI GRATIA 1818. Head of king to right, laureate. Rev. BRITANNIARUM REX FID : DEF: Angular shield crowned ; the arms are: 1 and 4, England ; 2, Scotland ; 3, Ireland ; and on an escutcheon of pretence, the arms of the Electorate, surmounted by the Electoral cap. Wt. 61.7 grains (4 grams). Bequeathed by Miss M. E. Waldo-Sibthorp. V&A no. 1627A–1902. Originally catalogued with V&A no. 1627–1902.
