Get Together Week for Recorders
100 teachers and student teachers from all parts of the country are spending this week on a Recorder Course at the Shoreditch Training College, Coopers Hill, Englefield Green, Surrey. The course is under the direction of Mr. Edgar Hunt, Chairman of the Recorder Education Course, and in conjunction with the Society of Recorder Players. The lecturer is Mr. Carl Dolmetsch, the famous recorder player.
The photograph shows 22-year old Elaine Kaye of Bradford and St. Anne's College, Oxford (left) and 23-year-old Barbera Stedeford, a teacher from Bristol (playing a big bass recorder), practicing in the grounds of the Shoreditch Training School.
