The photograph shows Pat Dargue (right) and Stella Smith arriving for the first Club Championship Contest of the Fretted Instrument Guild, at Conway Hall, Bloomsbury. They are both holding a Contra Bass Banjo, the largest fretted instrument in the competition. Dated June 30th 1951.
