Audio cassette, John Gilks (Ryedale Audio Visual Enterprise Ltd) interviewing George Lee, signalman, on 22 June 1984, recording made for the Friends of the National Railway Museum. The interview focuses on the operation of the Goole Swing Bridge.

This interview was made by the Friends of the National Railway Museum to document unique railway activities in the United Kingdon. The Interviewer, John Gilks, was a member of and the secretary of the Friends between 1992 and 1997. A label ‘Supplied by Ryedale Audio Visual Enterprise Ltd.’ is also present on the cassette case, John Spencer Gilks was the director and worked for the company at the time.

In 2009 a modernisation project was put in place for Goole Swing Bridge. In 2020, further plans were made to modernise the swing bridge and to remove historic equipment.
