Audio cassette, broadcast recording of interview with Arthur Wragg on BBC Radio York in 1984, when Arthur Wragg retired from British Railways at the age of 63. Born in 1921 in York, Arthur Wragg joined the railways following on the family tradition, before joining the army in the Second World War and fighting in the Battle of Caen in France in 1944. After the war, he returned to York and continued his railway career with British Rail until retiring in 1984. He died in 2016 in York.
