One photograph titled ‘Cattle seized at Suffolk farm. Centre of Tithe War’. Caption on the back reads: ‘A convoy of motor-lorries, contain about 50 men and accompanied by a strong force of police, arrived early in the morning at the farm of Mr. R.H. Rash, at Wortham Suffolk, and began to load the animals that had been impounded for tithe. Planks were placed across trenches that had been dug around the buildings. There were other obstructions. The seizure followed the arrest of eighteen Fascists who had been “guarding” the farm. PHOTO SHOWS: - The motor-lorries loaded with bullocks and the bodyguard of police.’
