One photograph titled 'Still trying to find largest bean after two centuries - oldest inhabitant has his eye on the barrel of beer!'. The photograph shows eighty-year-old John Weaving measuring kidney beans while a group of men watch. Caption on the back reads: 'For the 202nd year, the Kidney Bean competition is taking place in an inn at Besselsleigh, Oxford. Customers vie with each other to produce the biggest beans, the prize being a barrel of near. There is no shortage of entrants. The beans entered in the competition are hung from the rafter of the inn for all the envy.'
