Daily Herald Photograph: Giant Cabbages

One photograph titled 'Twelve Foot High Cabbages'. The photograph shows Dr. S. H. Wittwer of Michigan State University, standing on a ladder and holding on to three very large cabbage plants. The plants have been treated with Pfizer gibberellin as part of an experimental treatment to stimulate growth. Two regular size cabbages appear next to them to compare. The caption on the back includes a brief history of gibberellin.
