One photograph of a painter at work on Blackpool Tower, titled ' Blackpool's Dizziest Task'. Caption on back reads: 'The 520 feet of girder work making up Blackpool's famous tower needs constant attention and men are almost continually at work painting and repairing the well known landmark. Just now they are busy preparing the Tower for the Easter holiday crowds. The work calls for steady nerves as the men have to work hundreds of feet above the roadway on precarious perches. Photo shows- A dizzy perch for a painter high up on Blackpool's tower'. Appeared in Daily Herald on 1936-03-11, p. 13.
