Ivy Collection branded hand sanitiser

Made:
2020 in London

Plastic 50ml bottle of alcohol-based hand sanitiser spray, Ivy Collections Limited, London. Placed on tables at The Ivy in the Lanes, Brighton, during the COVID-19 pandemic, October 2020.

Hospitality was particularly hard hit by COVID-19 restrictions, with around 80% of businesses forced to cease trading and more workers furloughed than in any other sector. This bottle of hand sanitiser spray reflects actions taken by the industry to reassure customers and integrate ‘COVID-secure’ protocols into their brand identity following the reopening of restaurants in July 2020. As well as supplying bespoke scented sanitiser on tables, in bathrooms and at reception, measures introduced by The Ivy Collection chain included: contactless temperature checks on arrival, new seating arrangements, partition screens between booths in some restaurants and an enhanced cleaning regime.
