One photograph of two women providing two soldiers with cups of tea titled 'Soldiers distribute coal to London housewives'. Caption on back reads: 'Eight hundred soldiers are distributing coal to housewives in London. The need for their services was caused by a spell of exceptionally severe weather which dislocated the normal methods of distribution. PHOTO SHOWS:- Sergeant W. E. Bunce, of Watford, and Private Tony Agathangelou, a Greek in the British Army, receive a welcome cup of tea from Miss M. Forrest and Miss D. Morley after delivering coal at Burleigh House, Beaufort street, Chelsea'. Includes crop marks.
