- Made:
- 1942-10-17 in Croydon
One photograph titled ''Godiva 1942' is fuel saver'. Caption on back reads: 'One of the items in a fuel economy exhibition at CROYDON is called "Lady Godiva 1942" and is a strip-tease act in which a girl is seen silhouetted behind a white screen taking off her bath robe and stepping into a bath. A warning voice tells her not to have ore than five inches of water in the bath. The girl turns off the tap and economises by having a sponge down at the bathroom hand basin'.
