One photograph of F.C. McDonald, a harp maker of 40 years, fixing a concert harp titled '40 years as a harp maker'. Caption on back reads: 'In a shop off the Old Brompton road is a workshop, the only one it its kind in England, where harps are made and repaired. Mr. J.S. Morley, is the owner, and the business was started in 1816 by his grandmother. Harp making and repairing requires great craftmanship and will never be ousted by mechanical production.
