One photograph of a pair of glass eyes cooling on a scale titled 'To-day's problem picture'. Caption on back reads: 'These are two glass-eyes finished and nearly ready for use in the process of cooling off. After the blowing and colouring during which the glass is continuously held in the fire, the artificial eye is put in a 'sand bath' to cool off. Staring out at the world, these two eyes make a strange and unusual picture'.
