One photograph of a female technician operating a large machine titled: 'Machine produces radio sets like 'sausages''. Caption on back reads: 'Producing Radio Sets is almost as easy as producing sausages by the machine invented by John Sargrove known to his Walton-on-Thames neighbours at the "Pocket Edison"
. The raw material, bakelite goes in one end of the machine, and comes out of the other completely wired ready for assembly as a radio. The machine which is 70 feet long, produces a set every 20 seconds, all the metal parts of the set are sprayed on instead of being soldered. Mr Sargrove has just received on order from the Government of India, for 100,000 of his mass produced radios. Picture shows: A young lady 'feeding' the Robot Radio Producing Machine'.
