"Stay Safe Guidelines Treoirlínte chun fanacht sábháilte, one booklet in English and Gaeilge, Coronavirus COVID-19 Public Health Advice published by Health Service Executive and Government of Ireland Rialtas na hÉireann, April 2020

Using a series of illustrations, this set of guidelines aimed to help people to learn to live with COVID-19. Eight different situations were outlined - at home, at work, when shopping, when using public transport, when exercising outdoors, at outdoors gatherings, at indoor gatherings, and while cocooning. In Ireland, people aged over 70, in a residential care home, medical conditions such as cancer, long term organ conditions or transplant recipients and pregnant people with significant heart disease were advised to cocoon. This meant staying at home and avoiding face to face contact.

Advice included handwashing, increasing cleaning, good ventilation, keeping a log of who you met each day, wearing a face covering unless exempt, and social distancing.

Public health information in Ireland was published in national and local papers weekly and almost always on a yellow background. The colour scheme was also used by local government and private businesses.
