'I'll Take You For My Valentine' Novelty Postcard

A novelty illustrated postcard of a child-like character holding a camera in one hand, and a heart in the other. The character has red painted lips and is wearing a Scottish style 'Tammy' hat, a striped skirt with heart motifs, white socks and black shoes. The eyes of the character close with movement of a tab - the arm holding the heart. Below the feet, "I'll take you for my valentine" is printed alongside the number '18' and publishers stamp. Stecher Lithographic Company of Rochester, New York, USA (1887-1936), was a lithographic company producing posters, labels and postcards.
