X-ray camera c1930
Main body of X-ray camera c1930, with interchangeable flatplate and cylinders, used by Kathleen Lonsdale at the Royal Institution and UCL and Judith Milledge at UCL. A beam trap was added by the RI workshops; it is possible that the entire instrument was made at the RI as it bears no manufacturer’s name. From a collection relating to the X-ray crystallography research carried out by Dame Kathleen Lonsdale at University College London.
