Shure AXT100 wireless microphone bodypack transmitter, with dedicated battery pack, model AXT910.

A bodypack transmitter is essential for use with a headset or lapel microphone, to transmit the signal back to the receiver at front-of-house. The compact design allows them to be concealed in the performer’s clothing. This specific example was used in the opening and closing shows of the 2012 London Olympics. It bears official stickers confirming compliance with the London 2012 Spectrum Licence, which was Ofcom’s radio frequency assignment plan to manage the 20,000+ channels of radio frequency required during the games.
