Collection of Push Pull brochures given to farmers to disseminate push pull technology

Push-pull technology seamlessly works with traditional practices in Africa, using skills and tools already familiar to farmers. The techniques involve planting grasses alongside crops to control pests and weeds. Not only does this protect farmers’ income from damaged crops, but the grasses fertilise soil and can be harvested to feed livestock.

As a result of a communications campaign, including a radio show, leaflets, promotional t-shirts, over 400,000 farmers have adopted Push-pull.
