Circular Parkesine Medallion. Mid brown. One side shows two draped nymphs, one holding a cross, wearing a helmet and carrying a chalice in right hand. Other female carrries book in left hand. Building to right. Underneath figures stamped "Religioni Ac Donis Artibus" "P.W.F". Lower side stamped "Copy of Inscriptionon the pedestal of a bronze statue by Westmacott at Calcutta. William Cavendish Bentinck ..." Marked P97. Made by Alexander Parkes; c.1862.
