Pallet of components relating to Lockheed 10A Electra aircraft, serial no 1037, by Lockheed Aircraft Corporation, Burbank, Los Angeles county, California, United States, 193. Components include but aren’t limited to: A two-step removable ladder, an upholstered bench on a metal frame. A long section of foam, numerous sections of hollow beige steel components, numerous flat sections of wood sat on the bottom of the pallet, 4 sections of green carpeted components. 6 stacked beige steel frames, a bagged flexible pipe, and two lidless archival boxes full of additional components.
Lockheed 10A Electra. The aircraft is pictured outside a hangar at the Science Museum's Wroughton airfield in Wiltshire. The Electra first flew in February 1934, and with its low-wing, all-metal monoplane contruction, supercharged air-cooled wing-mounted engines, retractable undercarriage, variable-pitch propellers and wing flaps helped revolutionise air transport.
