The inclined model crystal (10.5cm long), in perspex, is mounted on a black plastic base, 9.8cmx6.8cm, which bears the inscription: "The anti-anaemic factor,first isolated in 1948 by a research team at Glaxo Laboratories and independantly by U.S. workers"
