1st Earl Russell

803 - entered Westminster School and fagged for his elder brother, Francis. 1813 - while abroad, he was returned to parliament for the family borough of Tavistock. 1817 - spoke against the suspension of the Habeas Corpus Act. 1819 - started writing The Life of William Lord Russell. 1846-1852 - served as British Prime Minister. 1859-1865 - served as British foreign secretary. 1865-1866 - served as British Prime Minister following the death of Lord Palmerston.
