Refracting telescope of 3 3/4 inch aperture and 5-foot focal length on English type equatorial mounting. Built in 1797 for Captain Huddart, Highbury, London with optics by Peter & John Dollond and mounting by Troughton. In 1816 it was acquired by Sir James South who used it with Sir John Herschel to observe double stars. Refracting Telescope.
