1813 - filed a patent for the improvement of knitting frame machinery. 1817 and 1823 - filed patents for method of ‘gassing’ lace. 1824 - concerned with improving the performance and fuel consumption of steam engines. 1834 - his condensers were fitted to the engines of the steam packet Prince Llewelyn. 1842 - six of his condensers had been fitted in steam packets. 1851 - filed his last patent, relating to the manufacture of starches and gums.
