Baird Television Development Company and Baird International Television Limited amalgamated to form Baird Television Limited. In 1932 due to financial difficulties, the company became a subsidiary of Gaumont-British Film Corporation. It moved to Crystal Palace in 1933, but unfortunately suffered a devastating fire in 1936. In 1939, Gaumont British put Baird Television Limited into receivership.

Baird continued in the field of television receiver manufacture after the Second World War (see Scophony-Baird); former employees found Cinema Television (see Cintel).
