Brown and Sharpe Manufacturing Company 1857 - 1948

Brown and Sharpe were the contract makers for all Willcox and Gibbs sewing machines from 1857 to 1948 (and possibly later). They were an American firm who opened London offices in 1867 at 135 Regent Street, London, and their English company was founded in 1908.
