wax modeller for Guy's Hospital , postion held for fifty three years from 1826

wax modeller for Guy's Hospital, London. Sumitted his first model to the Royal Society of Arts and was awarded a silver medal in 1826. In 1827 he won a Gold medal from the same institution. Towne spent the rest of his life working at Guy's Hopspital , before his death he had completed 537 wax models. Many can be seen at the Gordon Museum, Guy's Hospital, London, and are still considered useful teaching resourses
