Greenwood and Batley were a company based at Armley, Leeds. Their products included armaments, electrical engineering and printing.

1856 - company was founded by Thomas Greenwood and John Batley;

by 1859 - built the Albion Works to accommodate their growing needs; their locomotives were known as 'Greenbat'.

In 1896 Greenwood & Batley took over Smith, Beacock & Tannett at Victoria Foundry, Water Lane, Leeds. Iin the late 1960’s they became part of the Fairbairn-Lawson Group. Though the company hit problems and they were bought by Hunslet Holdings but by 1987 the site was sold and the works demolished.
