Incorporated on 26 June 1846, A 47.5 mile line running from Grimsby to Boston via Louth. First section ioened on 1 March 1848 and finally reached Boston in October of that year. The company lease went to GNR. It retained its independance until grouping in 1923 when it was absorbed into the LNER.
