Model locomotive chassis, about 1:5 scale, of a Stephenson type 2-2-2 locomotive, c1840, as supplied by the Great Western Railway, model was given to Mr S Tredwell, a railway contractor, by Victor Emmanuel II, King of Sardinia, about 1858.

Clarke's magnetic electrical machine, made by E.M. Clarke himself. Small ivory tag in corner gives maker's address as 11 Lowther Arcade, London, and serial number(?) 107. Brass bar holding magnets in place is stamped 'E.M. CLARKE LONDON'.
