A copy of the Palatine booklet in its FAC 345 wrapper, titled Christmas, Love and Peace/1991-1992, given away as the Factory Christmas gift in 1991. The wrapper was designed by John Macklin.

FAC 345 Factory Christmas gift 1991

Original Factory Christmas gift for 1986 in a limited edition of 300, of which 250 were mailed out. This example is sealed and has not been mailed out. The gift consists of a cassette tape containing a recording of Blue Christmas by Thick Pigeon and a folded paper representation of the Factory logo in black textured stock with red thermographic printing, housed in a 7-inch square box. Smoke from the Factory chimney is rendered in red glitter. Designed by Peter Saville Associates.

FACT 14 Be Reasonable, Demand the Impossible

Deluxe boxed double VHS video collaboration between IKON FCL and Psychic Television, consisting of: 1962/3 - "Ghosts At No. 9" - archive film footage by Antony Balch featuring William S. Burroughs and Brion Gysin, plus the classic film "Towers Open Fire." The tape is accompanied by two postcards: Brion Gysin (1935) photographed by Brion Gysin, and Antony Balch (1975) photograph courtesy of Rita Jarvis with information on how to obtain the videos and other Ikon releases. 1982 - Documentary recordings of William S. Burroughs and John Giorno from the "Final Academy" evening, the Hacienda Club, Manchester, 4 October 1982. The tape is accompanied by two postcards: William S Burroughs (1959) photographed by Brion Gysin and John Giorno (1982) photographed by Ron Sumner with information on how to obtain the videos and other Ikon releases.

IKON 9 The Final Academy Documents

Album by Durutti Column. 12-inch vinyl in sandpaper sleeve inspired by Memoires by Asger Jorn and Guy Debord. The sleeve was assembled by members of Durutti Column and Joy Division at 86 Palatine Road, Didsbury. The first editions came in a plain sandpaper sleeve. This edition is a later edition with the title and Factory catalogue number stencilled on the sleeve in silver paint. Sleeve design by Dave Rowbotham and Tony Wilson. Sandpaper supplied by Naylor's Abrasives, Stockport.

The booklet includes pieces by Jon Savage, Linder, Cath Carroll, Liz Naylor, Richard Boon, Paul Morley, Tony Wilson, Howard Devoto and Rob Gretton. It is referred to in promotional literature as "How was it for you, darlin?" or "The back pages".
