[The Field papers: a collection of manuscript and printed material principally relating to the work of Joshua Field as a partner in the engineering firm of Maudslay, Sons and Field. ca.1805-1865. Comprises: volumes 1 and 2 which consist of miscellaneous items bound in chronological order by subject, and volumes 3 to 13 which are single, unrelated works. The author, assumed to be Field, writes in the introduction that, having visited Blaenavon Iron Works with his friend, Charles Hill in the summer of 1817, he will "transcribe from Coxe's History of Monmouthshire what he has said of them, inserting & adding whatever observations I may choose to make". 13p. used (with note of 1841 added at end)]
